When life gives you lemons...

Every now and then life throws a few curveballs. How you react is up to you. Life has certainly dished me out more than I would have hoped over the past several weeks. I was given what seems like an entire orchard of lemons BUT I am confident that all on the horizon from here on out has to be better than recent occurrences. I am NOT making excuses only giving background info as to why I have been quiet. My family lost a very important member to cancer and that took some time to deal with all that needed to be done. Shortly after, I fell ill. I was sicker than I probably have ever been in my adult life and in bed literally for more than a week. I am still not 100% and it's been nearly 3 weeks but I will take the little improvements each and every day. I gotta say though... I am NOT a happy camper when I don't have control. Guess my body won this one but it won't happen again anytime soon if I have my way... I don't have time in my life to be sick!

That being said, I am behind the eight ball and although I posted on Facebook the sneak peeks of the July kit a few weeks ago, I did not post them here (OOOOPS).

The project for the July kit for my Artsy Adventure Class Kit Club is OVER THE TOP!!!! I definitely bit off more than I should have with this project as I blew the budget big time on this kit... lol! It is loaded with canvasses, tons of die cuts, beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard, papers by Pink Paislee and Coredinations and a plethora of Tim Holtz embellishments and a few other bits and bobs. I definitely wanted to make my subscribers happy after making them wait longer than usual for their monthly kit so I went all out and I hope you like it as much as I do!!!!

Trying to describe this project is a bit difficult, but let me try ;)

The base is a 12X12 canvas panel that has a 6X12 canvas panel attached to two of the outer edges and fold inwards to close. Imagine a gate fold album only it's canvas panels that form the "gates". Make sense?

The outside is decorated beautifully with room to personalize with your own title. I didn't want to limit the potential of this project so I left a title off. I figure it is generic enough that you can surely come up with a title and or quote, etc to work with the photos you chose to use.

The smaller canvas panels on the front open to reveal a mini masterpiece inside. Without a doubt the beautiful Dusty Attic Chipboard takes center stage.

There is room inside for 3 larger photos (this area is not shown in the sneak peek photos here as I can't give it ALL away... lol) and within the chipboard "frames" you can add many smaller photos if you so choose or use the embellishments provided as shown.

Without hesitation I will say that this is most likely one of the most UNIQUE projects I have ever created. I am really proud of how it turned out and I know it will look fabulous on my mantel or coffee table once I personalize it with the perfect photos. I hope you feel the same!

The kit comes complete with practically everything you need. I even did all the punching and die cutting and most of the stamping that needed to be done (specific required images such as the one above).

There are a few things that you will required that are not included but they are not considered to be part of the kit. For example, you will require gel medium, modelling paste (texture paste) and a spray or stain of some sort. I used Heidi Swapp's BRONZER Color Shine but you could substitute with different sprays as desired.

This is the first time I am offering this but I want to give the opportunity to those that may require it to add on to their kit with either the Color Shine, Modeling Paste or Gel Medium. I recommend you check with your local scrapbook store first BUT if you are in a bind, I am happy to add these to your kit. The problem is is may affect your shipping as the container may not fit in a pizza box which is why I think it best to try your local store first! Please note there are very limited quantities so you need to let me know ASAP if you wish to have  any of these mediums added.

So there you have it... the July kit is nearly sold out so if you DO want one, let me know ASAP! I literally only have a couple left if that so no promises that if you are not a subscriber to the Artsy Adventure Class Kit Club that I can even get you a kit. I only create a handful more than I KNOW I need.

Interested in a subscription? Prices are as follows: $60 per month. Join for 3 months and receive a 10% dicount. Join the Artsy Adventure Class kit club for 6 months and receive a 15% discount and a FREE bonus kit with your final month. The 6 month subscription has been by far the most popular option.

Shipping rates are not included in these costs however I do have a couple of options available so if you are interested, send an email to me at trisha.lado@gmail.com and we can sign you up!

July kits have begun to ship. If your shippping was prepaid, it has been sent. Those waiting for invoices for shipping, please watch your inboxes as paypal invoices are being sent!

I will also mention the the USTREAM tutorial that will go along with this project will be on August 22, 2013 at 7pm MST to allow for most to receive their packages. As always, this webshow will be recorded to follow along at your convenience. Although I do not do the entire project, I do walk you through some of the more technique-y stuff that is better demonstrated.

Lastly, stay tuned for the AUGUST kit as that will be revealed later in the week!

Have a great day everyone and be sure to drop me an email with any questions! Trisha.lado@gmail.com
