A whole lot of shabby and a wee bit of chic is the best way to describe this fabulous mini album encapsulated in it's very own trunk (aka box) for safe keeping. Showcasing the products from Marion Smith Designs brand new collections, this is one class that is bursting with a plethora of charming elements reminiscent of yesteryear. Immerse yourself as you learn to perfectly distress this project so that it looks to be like something your grandmother treasured in that vintage trunk in her dusty attic. Work with the hottest tool to hit the scrapbook scene, the Bloom Impressions Tool, to create stunning dimensional flowers that will perfectly compliment not only this project but any project the beckons for fabulous flowers to be added. This IS that class that you do NOT want to miss!
Triple Threat- 4 hours (15 minute break)Scrap N Patch, Scrapbook Secrets
A throwback to the earlier days of scrapping when we actually scrapbooked multiple photos on a page and more often than not we even created double pagers! As a professional designer for many years it is indeed a rarity for me to create these types of layouts anymore but due to popular demand from scrapbookers everywhere I have decided that your wish is my command! I am taking you up on your challenge and designing what is sure to be a huge hit with ladies who just want to scrapbook and get their photos into their albums yet still incorporate the intricate details and fun techniques you are sure to appreciate. My promise to you is this...3 layouts each with a minimum of 3 photos and at least ONE of the layouts will be a double pager! Anyone who has taken any of my classes knows that this may be more of a challenge to me than to you but I am up for it and I hope you will join me and play along! To top off the who "Triple Threat" theme I will also use products from 3 different manufacturers to appeal to an even broader group of scrapbookers... that way there is surely something for EVERYONE!
Chalk It Up- 4 hours (15 minute break) Scrap N Patch, Scrapbook Secrets
You don't have to look far to know that Chalk Art is all the rage at the moment. Everything from home decor to scrapbook papers show off this fun and whimsical art form and prove that chalk art no longer means the colourful drawing by neighbourhood children on the sidewalk. Most people may be intimidated to try their hand at creating their own chalk art but after participating in this class you will be inspired to go all the way! I's actually a lot easier than it looks. We will explore many of the various chalkboard mediums available while learning the numerous techniques to create your own chalk masterpieces. You will walk away inspired to apply the techniques not only in your paper crafting projects but home decor as well! We will be creating multiple smaller projects to practice your new found skills on assorted foundations using various mediums.
Days of Yesteryear- 4 hours (15 minute break)Scrap N Patch, Scrapbook Secrets
It's the little things we cherish most about the days gone by and this is that one class where we will record the most cherished of memories in a stunning Tim Holtz Folio album. With interactive components that are exquisitely embellished using the most sought after pieces you will be able to create a work of Art worthy of becoming your families next new heirloom. Perfectly distressed using a variety of techniques you will be hard pressed to determine if this is a project recently created or if it was a treasure discovered in your grandmothers attic.
Cards for all Occasions- 4 hours (15 minute break)Scrap N Patch,
After so many trips down under, it has occurred to me that I still have many friends to meet who may not yet have joined in on the Artsy Adventure Fun so I have designed this Cards for all Occasions class for the Card Making Crew! Join me as we create some technique based cards featuring some of the most beautiful papers available today while incorporating some fabulous interactive components leaving you with mini masterpieces that you will not likely be able to bear parting with! Have no fear though as we won't stop at just creating cards in this class! We are also going to alter a fabulous file folder holder in which you will have a lovely place to sort and store many of your cards that you create for others (or perhaps want to keep for yourself!).
