Artsy Adventure 2013

Happy New Year everyone!

Now that 2013 is here I am able to share some exciting news! Many of you knew that something was coming but I can now officially share some of the details with you!!!

I am so extremely honoured and excited to tell my scrapping friends down under that another Artsy Adventure Tour has been confirmed for May 2013!!! You heard me right... I am coming back and I couldn't be happier!

While we are still in the midst of firming up some of the stores, I can share with you the CONFIRMED locations at this point with the possibility of adding a few more in the very near future.

This tour will differ slightly from ones past. It will be smaller with fewer locations to choose from. There will be the opportunity to attend a full weekend event that will have additional classes not offered elsewhere! There will be at least 2 classes at each Host Store with some even offering what I refer to as the 3 CORE classes.

So without further adieu here are the initial stores CONFIRMED on the Artsy Adventure Tour:

Shop 9, 837 Ruthven Street
Toowoomba, Queensland
*** Scrap N Patch is hosting a WEEKEND Event! You will have FIVE classes to choose from... it's entirely up to you as to wish you wish to take one class or ALL 5!
For those that register for the 3 CORE classes, you will also receive a FREE Bonus Kit that can be completed AFTER the event!

Scrap With Friends
PO Box 269
Kemps Creek, NSW
Classes will be held in Penrith, NSW
*** Scrap with Friends will be hosting 2 classes! Stay tuned for which classes will be offered at their event.

My Scrap Attic
2 Swamp Road
Benger, WA
*** My Scrap Attic will be hosting all three CORE classes! Again, choose to take one or join us for a marathon day of fun and laughter as we go full out to create all 3 projects. Those that register for the entire day will also receive the free BONUS kit that can be completed AFTER the event!

In the near future, it is likely I will be adding other confirmed Host Stores so stay tuned for those details!

In the meantime, if these stores are near you feel free to contact them today to secure your space. Most will be offering payment instalments so contact them directly for that information!

Want a feel for the classes that will be offered? I took all of the suggestions into consideration from past classes and think I have come up with some pretty fabulous options and I do hope you will agree!

The 3 CORE classes are as follows:

Memory Magic...
Featuring the gorgeous papers and beautiful embellishments from Pink Paislee in conjunction with Heidi Swapps’ Memory Files, you will create a unique album unlike any other you have ever created. Loaded with interactive components that give you maximum real estate for housing your cherished memories, this project will WOW you with every flip of the page. Try your hand at altering papers and embellishments with Color Shine to create one of a kind items to compliment your project and seeing how you will be inspired to customize various items .

Manly Mini...
We’ve done frills, we’ve done flowers and now it’s time to add some some masculinity to our projects. Due to popular demand from paper crafters everywhere one of the biggest class requests is for some MANLY projects. This is one class you do not want to miss out on as each page in this project will share various techniques to give many of your future paper crafting projects the masculine touch you so desire. There will be a plethora of various tactile elements incorporated that scream “my guy will love this”! “Manly Mini” is one class you do not want to miss!

Luxurious Layout...
Lumpy Bumpy layouts are what Trisha specializes in. Layouts that capture ones attention as they are bursting with multiple layers and fabulous interactive components that force you to look at papers with a completely new set of eyes. Embellished with textural elements that beckon to be touched make this the perfect class to inspire any scrapbooker wishing to take their pages to the next level!

These next two classes are part of the WEEKEND Event at Scrap n Patch in Toowoomba, QLD and I am super excited to share some fun classes specifically with the attendees that will be there!

Subway Wall Art...
This trend has taken the decorating world by storm. In every home decor department you will find variations of this art form. In this class you will have the opportunity to create your own piece of art that you will be able to proudly display in your home. Learn different transfer techniques while you collage your way into a one of a kind project that will capture the attention of all whom have the privilege to view your creation that you will undoubtedly prominently display in your home. Perfectly embellished while adding your own personal touches.

Tags to Die For...
Tags are no longer just simple little things one would attach to a gift. Tags serve as the perfect foundation for creating miniature works of art that showcase numerous techniques using a variety of products. Whether you save them to use for future reference when creating other paper crafting projects or incorporate them onto a scrapbook layout, card or altered item, the choice is yours! This class is sure to inspire you as it is BURSTING with technique that are sure to get your creative juices flowing!

Over the coming days I will be sharing even more information with you so please check back often! Spread the word... share this on your blog and facebook! Let's make this another fabulous Artsy Adventure Tour!

The great thing about taking everything online is that us
OSDs can now compete against the 'big guys' to get the
sessions. In fact, when someone searches online for some
drum tracks, the folks who win are rarely the players you
will have heard of. They are drummers who have learnt about
Google advertising, building websites and making YouTube
videos to promote their playing rather than guys who have
played big gigs with established artists.
